Red chile pods - to fill blender 2. Water - to fill blender (approx 4 to 6 cups) 3. Garlic - 3 to 4 cloves 4. Salt - 1/2 to 1 tsp 5. Oregano - 1/4 to 1/2 tsp |
Remove stems, seeds and any molded areas from chile pods Rinse and clean chile with warm water to remove dirt & soften Make it Add all ingredients in order listed to fill 1 to 2 qt electric blender - pressing down chile pods to moderately compact chile pods. Secure cap on blender and blend this mixture on high speed for several min -- 4 to 5 min. (Blend chile until it has a smoothie-like consistency). Chile is now prepared --ready to use in Posole or to make into a Classic chile sauce.
